The history of pizza began with the Egyptians. It is believed that they were the first to mix flour with water. Others say that the pioneers are the Greeks, who were mass-based flour, rice, chick peasand roasted on hot bricks. The news landed in Etruria, in Italy.
Contrary to popular knowledge, though typically Italian, the Babylonians, Hebrews and Egyptiansmixed wheat starch and water and bake in rustic ovens for over 5000 years. The mass was called "Gingerbread Abraham," much like the current Arab bread, and received the nameflashes.
